This class includes your Oregon Certificate of Compliance so that you may then apply for your Oregon Concealed Handgun License through your local Oregon Sheriff’s Office. You DO NOT NEED to register for the Oregon Concealed Handgun class as it is included in this course.

The class starts at 11:00 am with 3 hours of classroom studies. We will discuss revolvers and semi-automatic handguns and how they function. You will learn how to load and unload them and exactly how they function. You’ll have a clear understanding of the pros and cons of each. Then we get into ammunition discussing the parts of the cartridge and the firing sequence of that cartridge. Bullet styles will be addressed as knowing which bullet style you’re carrying in your personal defense firearm and the terminal performance of each is paramount. We will pass around the room different handguns for you to hold, manipulate and understand clearly how they function. Then we will get into criminal psychology, the act of violence, and the aftermath of using deadly force. What your rights are and why Ability ~ Opportunity ~ Jeopardy has to be in play to use deadly force with any tool.

THEN THE FUN BEGINS!! You will shoot different software programs running on my Simulation Virtual Range. Tons of trigger time without the liability of live fire and the ammo costs. If you can even find ammunition right now! Simulation virtual training augments live-fire training and should be a monthly if not WEEKLY part of your training program. You will take turns shooting, so you can rest in between turns. This runs from 2:00 until 4 pm to finish out your experience.

This class includes your certificate of compliance for the Oregon Educational Mandate to then apply for your Oregon Concealed Handgun License.

This class includes your Certificate Of Completion for the Oregon Educational Mandate to then make an appointment with your local County Sheriff’s Office to apply for your Oregon Concealed Handgun License. It does not include your Arizona CHL.
